Is it excluding or indispensable the command of the language the courses are taught in?

If a Language certificate is not explicitly required, the Selection Committee will consider the level of Language competence declared by the candidate in the Application form in the section Language Competences. You can add more information about it (for instance if you lived in a foreign country) in the section Personal Statement.

Who should be addressed to the letters of recommendation required for the Target Group 2?

The letters have to be addressed to the Selection Working Group of the BAPE Project - EMECW LOTE 18 - EACEA/35/08.

Can students of Human Sciences access to the scholarships of this Project?

The Fields of study eligible for a mobility with BAPE include Social Sciences (such as Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, Social Work, International Relations, Anthropology, Development Studies), but not Humanities (Languages, Literature, History, Philosophy, Religion, etc.). Nevertheless students/researchers in Social Sciencies can apply for a scholarship in the programmes that are related to their field of study (for instance, Sociology or Anthropology).

What does "Staff Mobility" mean? Does it mean "professors"?

Staff mobility addresses only to Teaching Staff of the partner Universities. Administrative/Technical staff is excluded.

I don't have a passport yet: can I attach a copy of my national ID instead?

Yes, but you must send us the copy of your passport as soon as you obtain it and in time for the selection process (which ends in March 2010), and you have to attach your national Identity Document.

I haven't obtained my Bachelor/Master diploma document yet, but I will have it in the next months and I'd like to apply for a mobility: am I allowed? What documents should I present instead of the diploma?

If you have finished you studies and you are just waiting to obtain your diploma, or you have to do the last exams but you think you can obtain your diploma before the end of the Selection Process (March 2010) you can send us a personal  certification, or a certification provided by your university, by which you certify your academic position at the moment of the application and the time when you expect to obtain your diploma.

CV, Research Plan/Projects' Outline, Letters of recommendation, Proof of registration (letter of home university certifying that you are currently enrolled), Proof of special conditions (letter certifying your special conditions). For academic staff: letter from the University in which you work confirming that you are a member of the teaching staff. If you apply for a scholarship in Leiden University or in Graz University please translate all the required documents.

Am I obliged to choose 2 different Host Universities in the Application form, or can I just choose 2 different Program of Studies in the same Host University?

Yes, you can indicate 2 programs you'd like to follow even if they're offered by the same University.
